They Don't Even Know Why They Hate AI
It would seem that the pervasive hatred of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not driven by objective artistic or ethical standards; it’s driven by a primal, undifferentiated fear that has been retrofitted with flimsy, factually incorrect arguments, often further amplified by grifters and opportunists eager to leverage the latest hot topic into being about them. The opposition is an intellectual vacuum masquerading as a moral crusade.
The movement is based on emotional incontinence and the anxiety of obsolescence, and its proponents grasp at any narrative, no matter how illogical, to justify their refusal to evolve, and their insistence that the rest of the world bend itself to suit them.
In other words, cancel culture has found a new target for their abuses now that the original rug of moral sophistry has been pulled out from under their feet of clay.
